Oscar de La Renta – Spring Summer 2018 – New York Fashion Week 2017

Legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta has passed away at 82. Perhaps not as well known among the younger, casual generation, de la Renta spent nearly 50 years dressing society’s finest in haute couture. Most notably, he dressed every First Lady since Jacqueline Kennedy. In the celebrity sphere, de La Renta outfitted Oprah Winfrey, Ann Hathaway and, most recently, George Clooney’s bride Amal Alamuddin, among many others. The cause of death is not yet known. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 but was reportedly doing very well just last year.
