GCDS, aka ‘God Can’t Destroy Streetwear’ is a Made-In-Italy streetwear brand founded in 2015 by the brothers Giuliano and Giordano Calza. Giuliano Calza is the Creative Director of GCDS and Giordano Calza is the CEO. The brand has grown into one of the most coveted emerging brands thanks to its ironic graphics, catchy slogans and unexpected capsule collaborations attracting the likes of international influencers such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Lil’Yatchy. Today the brand is retailed in more than 230 stores worldwide and has opened the doors to its first store in Milan in December 2016. Counting more than 8 employees, the company plans to expand in Asia with a store in Tokyo, Japan as well as into new product categories with Made-In-Italy shoes and accessories. Giuliano Calza was born in Naples, Italy in 1988. Following his studies in Political Science, he moved to Milan for a master’s degree in Marketing & Communication at Bocconi University. At 23 years old, he won a scholarship at Shanghai University where he learnt Chinese and decided to spend 4 more years to master his knowledge of the Chinese market. In 2015, he founded GCDS with his brother Giordano Calza. Today, Giuliano Calza is the Creative Director of the brand which has attracted the likes of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Lil-Yatchy, etc. thanks to its instantly recognizable graphics, embroideries and catchy slogans.
